We all do have pictures. but do we hang them all? The do hanging things on the wall are all supposed to be pictures? I mean some people might be into art. Pinning a picture without causing it any form of harm needs a frame to be added to it. For the people who pay extra attention to the detail, this article is meant to be for you. There might be an imaginative calculation taking place inside your head when it comes to choosing the right frame for the picture you want to be on the wall. From how well can the frame fit within the space decoration, to how the colors should align. Maybe, thinking about a frame color that could be positioned between the wall color(s) and the framed to be the content color scheme. Keep in mind that the frame's thickness affects the coloring of the picture by itself by creating a shadow effect.
Orientation. Also, to successfully select the perfect frame a look should be taken to estimate your art orientation correctly; whether it is landscape orientation or portrait orientation. Portrait: Starting with portrait orientation, it is when the picture is relatively tall, yet thin. I simplify it more, Imagine holding your phone normally then you take a picture while you’re holding it still. Landscape: Landscape, however, is when the image is wide but short. Just like holding your phone while you’re watching a video on full screen, and you have decided to take a picture holding your phone the same way you were watching the video. Frame material: Are assuming that you have already selected the frame color, and you have chosen whether the artwork is a landscape or portrait. Have you thought about the material that the frame should be made of?
Wood. Wood is the cliché of all the frames, alongside metal (But we will be there shortly). MDF: It stands for medium density fiberboard, and it took the lead as it is the most financially friendly of them. It’s not only economically smart but also ecologically friendly as there are no trees cut down to attain it since it originates from recycled wood and compressed sawdust. Finger jointed poplar: it is the transition between the MDF and attained wood that comes down from cutting down trees. Solid Wood: It is the least financially friendly out of them and the most hostile to the environment. It is only obtained by hurting the environment by cutting down trees. Metal: In most cases, aluminum is the dominant material when it comes to manufacturing frames. It tends to give high flexibility for the upcoming processes which are welding and coloring. Frame Cover. Traditional: yes, you already knew it, it’s glass. While it adds a genuine feeling to the picture. However, if there is an unlikely scenario that the picture fell to the ground, the glass will break. Shatter-Proof: with the coherence of modern-day technology, the athletic class started to step in and replace the typical glass. The typical two things first thing is the weight as the acrylic is lighter than the typical, The second thing is that it’s more durable and doesn’t crack when it falls. Now we can presumably say that you are ready to design and get your frame.
